What I Fear

I started out this election year being what I am, an independent. I watched as all the candidates both republican and democratic debated and told their stories. I like everyone else was and still amazed by the ability of Barak Obama to deliver a speech. This man can turn heads with the way he delivers that speech. I began paying closer attention to him because I liked what he was saying. But something about him or maybe the way that people followed him started to scare me. I told my daughter in conversation that and she asked me why? I told her I am not sure but I was worried about him, now I know what that is. Let me begin with his ability to pick his friends. Advisors to the President are perhaps the most important decisions the new President will make.

Let’s start will William Ayers, this man ran a fund raiser for Obama. He is also an admitted terrorist that once attempted a bombing of the pentagon. He has repeatedly stated that America should suffer for it’s sins and also was quoted as saying that the bombs set at the Pentagon should had done more damage. When questioned Obama said that this wasn’t the man he new.

Now let’s talk about Rezko who is now a convicted Felon of campaign funding. Rezko helped Obama buy his first home in Chicago by buying the lot next to him. Rezko’s wife bought the property in her name for 625,000 dollars but her income was under 50,000 a year so I have to ask, how did she do that. Rezko was associated with obama since 1990 and the housing details took place in 2005. He took campaign funds from him for his State Senate election even though Rezko was at the time being investigated for wrong doing. Once again Obama has said “this is not the man I knew”. The following is a statement form Obama to ABC news.

Obama maintains his relationship with Rezko was "above board and legal" but has admitted bad judgment, calling his decision to involve Rezko "a bone-headed mistake."

Now I looked at Rev. Wright. It was only six months when I new my new Pastor’s politics. Obama asked me to believe that after 24 years he did not know how Wright felt about America. Rev. Wright was so strongly adamant about his feelings that I can not believe that Obama did not know what this man was all about. You all know what Wright has said and preached so I will not remind you of that but I don’t think that anyone can honestly agree that Obama did not know him. In his race relation speech Obama said the following.
."He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding and baptized my children," Obama said in that speech. "I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother — a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who, on more than one occasion, has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe."

After this Obama again stated that “this is not the man I knew”. These are all people that Obama chose for friends with his own free will, so I ask myself then who will he choose for his advisors. What kind of judgment does this young man have?

There are other things that bother me about Obama, and mostly it is that the media has already picked our next President and it will be Obama... You think I’m crazy for saying that well read on and then tell me I’m wrong. It is said that you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people all of the time. I pray that it will be the latter this year. Now here are some of the reasons why I feel this way, for instance Obama said that he doesn’t wear an American flag pin because he doesn’t think that it shows any patriotism and that he believes that you show patriotism in other ways. OK, Fine then why does he wear one now? Because he was taking hits from the American public and thought it would help him get votes. However the media lets him get away with that. He says he has visited all 57 states and nothing is said about it, again the media lets him get away with that. Need I tell you what the media would say if McCain had said that? In a recent CBS news report on things you didn’t know about the candidates it was so lopsided that I can’t believe the media got away with it. For example they mentioned that Obama likes strategy games and is very competitive. They followed that with when McCain was in high school he got the nick name of the “punk”, because he always had a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. They said that Obama in addition to enjoying basketball and cycling during down time, Obama loves to play Scrabble...Obama's job as a teenager was at a Baskin Robbins and to this day he does not like ice cream." The segment on Obama also described how he and Michelle met and where he buys his suits. That was followed by “when McCain was shot down in Vietnam, it was not his first. It was not his second. But his third plane crash as a pilot. They went on to say that Obama graduated at the top of his class and McCain graduated 5th form the bottom. And so it went on so now tell me with a strait face that they have already picked our next President, and yes that scares me.

But wait there is more Obama has said that the reason we are winning in Iraq is not the surge but because the Sunni’s have decided to work with us and the Iraqi government and gives little credit to our military. Oh he says it probably helped but it wasn’t the main reason. You may have hated that war, you may hate Bush, but did you want us to lose for those reasons. If you think were not winning then check out the latest from the AP “US winning the Iraq war”. However no ware in that report does they give acknowledgement to the surge being the reason why. To do so would be contrary to what Obama has said and I feel they don’t want that. Katie Kerzak from CBS news tried to pin Obama down on that statement and to my surprise was quite good at it. However I did not see that show and I heard nothing about it from local or national new. I saw nothing on that interview on CNN or CNBC but I heard it on Fox and the radio. You can say that talk radio wants Obama to lose so that’s why they reported it and you’re probably correct. Fox reports all the news good and bad on this election but if you want to say their one sided good. But now tell me why the others did not report on it, could it be because it was bad for Obama? Then there is the recent ruling by the Supreme Court on the second Amendment. Obama has said that he supports the ruling and he supports the second amendment, however he supported a recent bill that if past would have stopped the sale of all weapons with in five miles of a school or park. You so, that sounds like a good thing to me! Well let’s look at that, do you know of any school in the United States that is farther then ten miles from each other in any city? Or any park that is farther then ten miles from any school or another park? Or how about small town America, All small towns weather they have more then one school or just one school would be outlawed from selling guns! I never heard that from the media, only that he supports the Supreme Court ruling. I found that out when I searched how he has voted, and that scares me.

There is much more but I want to get to my final remark for this message. What have I seen in Barak Obama’s use of military force? Let’s cut past the crap, we all wanted revenge for 9-11 and that is human nature. There are times when military action is required and not always after something happens to us. For instance, if we new that 9-11 were about to happen would you support a pre-emptive to stop it. Do you support stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Would you support retaliation on an Iran if it attacks Israel with a nuke? Obama has said that he wants to cut back on future weapon development and a missile defense system. I for one would like to know that if were attacked we would have at least a chance to stop it, wouldn’t you? Obama is quoted as saying that he would never order a nuclear attack on any target that might have civilian casualties. So I guess that means they can kill us but don’t worry we won’t kill you. That scares the hell out of me and should scare you as well. Obama continues to say one thing to one person and then say some thing else to another. This has and is happening almost daily but he continues to get way with it. Example, he tells Israel that no divided Jerusalem and tells Hamas it should be considered and it is only briefly mentioned on the news. They asked McCain if he would like to see Obama’s plan for all troops out in16 months and he said yes. That would be a nice time line. Now they have that televised all over all the networks and continue to say that McCain adopts Obama’s plan. McCain has tried to say that he would like the troops out yesterday but not before the job is done. Now the job is almost done and still Obama says it was a mistake to send those 30,000 additional troops into Iraq. Now I have seen the beginning of Obama’s campaign to take credit for the win. He is and will say that since the democrats pushed for a time table the Iraq’s saw that they had to start getting serious. Is that what you think, that that is the reason why? I will tell you my thoughts on that and it is backed up from reports from the troops. All the factions came together because when the surge started they believed that America was there to finish the job and they had to pick a side. If no surge then they would probably pick Allude. The government got the time with the lack of violence to proceed with their duties. And they have, when was the last time you heard that the oil from Iraq wasn’t flowing or that local governments where ineffective. We all know that if local government fails then the larger government cannot work effectively. And that is what the surge was intended to do, give those people some breathing space.
